Interested in learning the ins and outs of running a process art studio?

Riverside Art Studio is looking for 2 interns! A studio assistant and a studio manager.

Studio Assistant Intern

The right candidate will:

  • be creative, organized, and enthusiastic about art and kids.

  • have a love for and/or experience working with children.

  • have some knowledge about or be willing to learn the basics of process art.

  • have knowledge of how to work with different art mediums.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Prepping art materials for classes and parties, i.e. cutting out cardboard rainbows, pouring paint into containers, dying wooden beads with liquid watercolors, pouring glitter into salt shakers, and other fun stuff.

  • Setting up, organizing and cleaning the studio for classes and parties. Sweeping and mopping the floors, prepping sensory bins, hanging paper and other materials on the wall for collaborative art projects and organizing art supplies.

  • Assisting with classes and parties. Helping with set up, assisting kids and students, passing out supplies, helping with birthday food and cupcakes and cleaning up.

15 hours per week, days are flexible, some weekends required.

Studio Manager Intern

The right candidate will:

  • Be tech savvy.

  • Be organized.

  • Ideally, have knowledge of or background in Eventbrite, Mailchimp, Canva, Facebook and Instagram. But I am willing to teach those that have the desire to learn.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Setting up Eventbrite events.

  • Emailing newsletters.

  • Facebook posts.

  • Creating posters and flyers in Canva.

  • Discovering, contacting and scheduling artists to run adult workshops.

  • Assisting with adult workshops.

  • Setting up and taking pictures for social media posts.

15 hours per week, days are flexible, some weekends required.

  • How to promote art workshops using Eventbrite, Facebook and Instagram.

  • How to design and send out newsletters on Mailchimp.

  • How to design flyers, posters and social media posts on Canva.
