Riverside Art Studio is an art studio for kids. We offer process based, open ended art classes that encourage exploration, creativity and curiosity. Process based means your kids will enjoy creating their art as much as you will enjoy displaying it at home! Students work with a variety of materials and explore many different art making processes. Children need consistent time and space each week to explore, play and create. At Riverside, they receive the tools and guidance required to ignite their curiosity, develop critical thinking skills and most of all, have fun! We specialize in classes for kids age 18 months to 12 years old. We also offer parties, events and workshops for all ages as well as family art sessions.
All classes are held in my home studio. In this 5-6 week course, we will meet once a week for 1 hour. We will create one art project per week and we will explore drawing, painting, collage, printmaking, sculpture and craft. My classes are process art based, meaning the process of art making is emphasized as much as the finished project, so all results are individualized. This class is perfect for kids ages 5-9.
